How do you spot a Founders Mosaic team member?

To do what is right.
To love mercy.
To walk humbly.

To do what is right.  Correct.  Straight.  Plumb line.  The cornerstone of a building gives the bearings for all the other stones in the wall.  Individuals should have the fiber and desire to do what is right, even when hard.  This is called courage.  It used to be called integrity and virtue.  Today, those words seem unfortunately outdated and archaic.

To love mercy.  For yourself.  For other people.  You can be a vessel of mercy or a vessel of wrath.  People can be filled up and poured out.  This doesn’t mean to enable bad behavior, but it does mean to err on the side of teaching and instruction rather than punitive action and harsh consequence.  This can be tough in practice, but requires discipline and faithfulness to communication of expectations and future consequences if those expectations go unmet.

To walk humbly.  This is how we go about our way.  You need to go about your way and strive for excellence, but the manner about which it is gone about, is humility.  Not striving for attention, not blaring it from the rooftops, not insecure of whether reward will be provided for excellent performance, but deep rooted in a foundation of security and identity and belonging.
